So Hallowe’en is fast approaching, it’s too late to market my business using this event isn’t it?
Well no and no.
The first no is it isn’t too late. With a little brainstorm and some lateral thinking then you have time to make this period a fun and profitable exercise in promotion for your brand.
Secondly drop the apostrophe. It’s Halloween, so let’s tell the grammar police to lay off.
A quick trawl of social media will show that #Halloween2016 is gaining some traction as a hashtag so although it’s very much US dominated, that looks like the one to follow.
By all means come up with a # utilising your own brand but make it quick and make it good as time is running short.
Halloween lends itself to a number of interpretations, it doesn’t have to just be scary. The word monster for instance can reflect a monster sale or a monster discount you might plan for this time. So use wordplay to bring in the season but don’t feel you have to have Dracula all over your precious brand.
Trick or treat is also a great way to introduce giveaways. On social media #win and #competition followed by an offering can gain plenty of support and if followers lose with a trick and win with an actual prize then you can once again bring your own brand to the fore.
And of course having a great time can also be a scream so even if you aren’t inviting people to a horror show, they can have a fun time and that allows you to enter in the Halloween spirit.
Of course there is no substitute for preparation and our own clients are already underway with halloween but for help from SpitfirePR for this or even with a Christmas campaign (yes you’ve left it very late, but not too late) then contact us now at email@example.com or by calling 07539782979.
